- "Old Friends (Nog even goeie vrienden) is a 15-minute short fiction film, currently in production. A heartfelt mix of drama and light comedy, it explores themes of loneliness, old age, and vulnerability, offering an honest, unfiltered look at a forgotten group in society.
The entire film takes place in the steam room of an indoor swimming pool, where two lifelong friends, Leen and Wil, might be sharing their last conversation. One attempts to reveal something life-changing, while the other avoids it, both hiding their emotions behind the heavy steam.
For this project, I worked as 1st Camera Assistant, supporting the camera team with Sony FX6 and cine lenses. I assisted with camera setups, lens changes, batteries, media management, and helped maintain a smooth workflow in a challenging, humid environment. The whole film was shot in a single day. An intense, memorable experience with an incredible crew.
